Warsash Festival

Warsash Festival has been running as a biennial event for the local community since the year 2000. It was inaugurated as a Millennium Celebration attracting some 7000 local residents to the summer fete and arena events.
This has been an event that Locks Heath Rotary has attended with its side stalls and which has contributed well to our fund raising efforts.
The event itself held during July as far as the author can remember has always taken place in warm British summer sunshine on the Strawberry Field in the heart of Warsash village.
Alas the event organisers have indicated that the festival in its current form has achieved what was set out in “bringing the community together”.
It is hoped that a festival organised on a smaller scale may be able to replace this event. Locks Heath Rotary has expressed an interest and is in preliminary talks with the outgoing organising committee to assess potential future alternative event viability. Watch this space!
