Locks Heath Rotary has variously supported a number of youth projects with local schools and has included “Musical Youth,” “Young Writer” and “Youth Speak’s” including supporting those requiring additional schooling challenges.
Each activity provides opportunities for participants to demonstrate their skills and enhance their confidence by presenting in a competitive but fun and enjoyable environment.
Lord Wilson Academy at Holly Hill, Sarisbury Green provides special needs for pupils from a wide local catchment area.
Locks Heath Rotary has maintained an association with the Lord Wilson Academy for a number of years making donations to the school and annually presenting the Endaevour Shield on prize giving day.
The 2021 Music Festival saw choirs, soloists; duets and ensembles perform at the Victory Hall in Warsash. Artists from Whiteley Primary School, St John the Baptist Primary and Locks Heath Junior School competed for 1st place shields, with trophies and certificates to 2nd and 3rd placed entrants. Locks Heath Rotary donated prize monies to the winner’s schools.
The event which fortunately took place just before “lockdown “due to the pandemic was very well attended.

At Brookfield School our District Young Writer of the year being presented with certificates.
We eagerly await this years competitions to restart but this is dependent upon how well schools can get back to some normality.
